Gifford`s Famous Ice Cream in Auburn

The ice cream was great, but only the person there was the manager, so service was really slow if people ordered anything other than a simple dish or cone.

My h usband and I were out exploring western Maine on Mother's Day and had been talking about getting some ice cream when we saw this Gifford's stop. Who can pass up Gifford's? I had a caramel sundae with Moose Tracks, whipped cream and nuts. This thing was huge! A perfect ending to a great day.

Easily the best ice cream around! Nothing more can be said. Staff is friendly and fast, so don't drive by just because the line looks long. By the time you've finished their menu board they'll be asking you what you'd like!

Always my go to for amazing icecream and shakes that they call frappes. They are now open and accept both cash and card and Cha get flavors monthly. Dog friendly as well and have park benches in the back to sit on so come out and get a nice summer treat

Old fashioned Ice Cream, 1 scoop is fine ,2 if you need a meal. They don't serve small portions, less you order a baby cone. Hand made, Waffle cone are a family favorite Open most of the year.

Oh my god my absolute favorite! I'm an ice cream junkie and we just moved to Maine from Colorado so we started trying ice cream places all around us. Giffords is hands down my favorite. Their flavors are spectacularly blended, they go far beyond the standard cookies and cream or cookie dough and create flavors that really compliment each other and aren't overpowering. So many places put way to many mix-ins, but Giffords has it down to perfection! And the prices are equally attractive and delicious (we couldn't get 3 ice creams for under $25 anywhere in CO). I'm so happy we tried them and can't wait to eat our way through their menu.

Hard serve. Several "indulgent" flavors like strawberry cheesecake, moose tracks, etc plus the typical flavors. Could use a few more caramel/peanut butter type flavors, most of the "indulgent" flavors are too chocolatey for me.

Best ice cream in L/A! If you need to know what ingredients might be in a particular flavor, ask them and they will pull out the ingredients list for you.

the ice cream tasted great the service was really good best of all they had my favorite flavor that I haven't had in years, peppermint stick! Now I learned they have a punch card too!!!

Cant wait for Fielder's Choice to open in Auburn. I went to Giffords and asked to split one dog treat into two bowls, as I have done before with no problem. It's not the cost, but the portion I need to control for my 2 dogs. Kayla insisted she could not do this, so I ordered 2, along with an ice cream for myself and my mom. Upon receiving the huge dog scoops, I had to remove half from each for my dogs while my ice cream melted to the point I couldn't eat it. I guess it was worth losing business to not accommodate an easy customer request.

Awesome place, family friendly has a kids play ice cream stand out back, Huge portions this is a "Small!!!" And they serve the best ice cream in maine.

Scoops are gigantic as well as delicious many folks had their dogs with them, and the dogs were certainly happy with their treats. Service not speedy, but very efficient. Plenty of parking as well as test rooms. .
